The Ducks Volleyball Board of Directors consists of coaches, former players, and parents of players. Our Board provides guidance to our club and has a wealth of experience to draw from.

Jordan Thies – Director of Operations
Responsibilities: Facility Rentals | Team Practice Scheduling | Tryout Organization and Planning
Jordan has been a long-standing member of the both the Ducks indoor and outdoor programs. Jordan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2005 and completed his Professional Development Certificate in 2007. Jordan has also taught and coached many successful teams in both the Jr. and Sr. programs at Riverside Secondary, for over 10 year. In addition to serving on the Ducks Executive, Jordan has coached various teams ages 14U-18U. When not immersed in the volleyball world Jordan spends his time with his amazingly patient wife Lindsay and his two beautiful boys Lincoln and Preston.
Lori Holmes – Director of Administration
Responsibilities: Club Gear and Clothing | Club Registration | Club Budget | Day to Day Financial Management of the Club
Lori, AKA Mama Duck, has been with the club since 2001. Lori spends countless hours working behind the scenes to ensure the club is financially stable and that volleyball stay’s accessible to all athletes. Her passion if for women in sport, and she plays a key role ensuring the Ducks stay true to its original purpose and goals. Lori was awarded the Volleyball BC Administrator of the Year Award in 2011 and POCO Sport Volunteer Award in 2018 for her contributions to the Ducks and to volleyball in the Tri-Cities. When not working on Ducks, she loves spending time with her grand daughter Quinn, and relaxing at her RV.
Janet Andrew – Parent & Player Liaison | Coaching Certification & Education Coordinator
Coaching Certification Responsibilities: Coordinating and Managing Coaching Certification and Training | Ensuring all Coaches and Staff have Necessary Certification and Requirements | Promoting Ongoing Coaching Development, Learning and Growth
Player/Parent Liaison Responsibilities: Advocating for parents and athletes with the Ducks leadership | Ensuring strong communication between coaches, parents and the Ducks leadership
Janet is a level 2 certified coach, and has been involved with the Ducks for over 8 years. During this time she has coached all age groups from 14U to 18U. Janet has played recreational co-ed volleyball, intermediate level women’s volleyball, and various levels of fastpitch and slo-pitch. She is from the Lower Mainland, and has a background in Corporate Finance where she has worked for many years. Janet continues to selflessly give her time to volunteer and help promote sport in the Tri-Cities. She has previously coached at Centennial Secondary in Coquitlam, as well being involved with girls fast-pitch in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam. She loves to give back to various sports, and enjoys watching athletes grow both as individuals and members of their teams and community.
Paul Conzatti – Equipment Coordinator
Responsibilities: Coordinating all equipment purchases and replacement | Coordinating all equipment distribution, storage and collection
Paul has been an integral member of the Ducks for over 10 years. Not only has Paul continually coached in our club, he is also a leader and advocate for athlete health and wellness. Paul graduated with his master’s in Physical Therapy from UBC in 2009. Prior to this, he completed his bachelor’s of Applied Science in Kinesiology at SFU in 2005. Paul has worked extensively with a number of organisations over the year such as the Coquitlam Adanancs , Douglas College Women’s Volleyball Team and BC High School Volleyball Provincial Championships. Paul grew up locally and continues to support athletics and athlete development in the Tri-Cities.
Evan Kellett – Member at Large
A past President, with nearly 20 years in the Ducks Volleyball Club, Evan remains active with the Board of Directors in order to assist wherever he can. He enjoys seeing the club grow and evolve, and is particularly passionate about adding value to our membership and introducing ideas and technology to make club administration and communication as easy as possible.
Nicole Curran – Alumni Coordinator
Responsibilities: Coordinating Alumni events & activities | Strengthening and building connections with alumni
Nicole began her journey with the Ducks in 2004-2007 as an athlete. Following graduation, she played at Douglas College for 3 years before transferring to SFU to complete her degree in Education. Nicole is now a teacher in SD43. She has coached many teams over the years ranging from Junior Ducks to Senior High School Girls Volleyball. Nicole is passionate about continuing to grow the Duck family, as well as maintain connections with graduated athletes. She is married to an amazing husband, Aaron, and has a beautiful son named Huxley.
Jacky Pralica – Alumni Coordinator
Responsibilities: Coordinating Alumni events & activities | Strengthening and building connections with alumni
Jacky first joined the club as an athlete in 2002, and competed as a Duck until she graduated high school in 2009. She continued as a student athlete with the Douglas College women’s volleyball team (Pacwest Conference) where she graduated with a Sport Science Diploma. Jacky continued her education in environmental sciences at Kwantlen University. She is currently working in the environmental protection field. If she’s not on the court, you can find her swimming in the river or hiking in the mountains.
Since graduating high school, Jacky has been focused on giving back to the Ducks Volleyball Club. She has been coaching the younger age groups for the past ten seasons and aims to spark a passion for the game in the younger generations of Ducks athletes. Her goal as Alumni Coordinator is to bring graduated athletes together & allow the Ducks culture to thrive post secondary.
James Tecson – Sponsor & Community Connection
Responsibilities: Communication and liaison with Ducks Partners | Fostering and building connections with our club and our local community | Growing and building partner relationships
James has been involved with the Volleyball community for over 10 years. He has always been passionate about growing the game and is the founder of Poco Volleyball which organizes and runs volleyball events for all age groups for the City of Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam. In addition, he also created and manages the Poco Competitive Volleyball Group, which promotes adult volleyball in the Tri-Cities. James is also a long time volunteer head coach at Terry Fox Secondary, where he continues to voluteer coach.
Jen Gee – Office Manager
Jen has been involved in various roles with the Ducks for over 20 years. Jen graduated from SFU with a BA and from Douglas College with a Marketing Management Diploma. Jen is an integral part of the Ducks Volleyball Club, helping with day-to-day tasks working side by side with the Ducks’ executive helping steer our club to be the best.
